Oklahoma drivers win first two ASCS Sprint Week events

by John Rittenoure - TULSA, Okla. (July 27, 2021) - Oklahoma drivers have picked up victories in the first two nights of the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Week Tour that comes to Tulsa Speedway on Friday.
Matt Covington of Glenpool won the opener Friday at I-30 Speedway followed by young Ryan Timms on Saturday at West Memphis.
Tulsa Speedway will be the 7th stop of 8 races in 9 days for the National Tour and a large field of competitors are expected to tackle the high-banked quarter mile.
Friday Night Lights point racing will continue for Factory Stock, B-Mods, Mini Stock and Junior Mini Stock on Friday.
Grandstands open at 5 p.m. Racing begins at 8.
