Race Recap for July 5th Make-Up Race

Edwards, Gould, Atherton, Kuehn, Brownlee take wins at Osage Casino & Hotel Tulsa Speedway.

On a beautiful night following Independence Day, racers and fans attended a make-up race that proved to be a battle all night.

In the Osage Casino & Hotel 305 Sprints class, Blake Edwards would take the wins in both Heat 2 and the Feature. Journey Hunt would be the first to the checkered in Heat 1. Ryker Pace, the current points leader, would finish second to Edwards in both races, still earning enough points to hold a 46 point lead over Ray Brewer.

Many racers struggled in the Feature of the Argent Electric USRA Modifieds, with six cars not able to finish the race. William Gould win take the Feature win after moving up 3 spots. Chad Davis would win Heat 1, with Nathan Hagar getting the checkered in Heat 2. Mike Duvall, the points leader, held his #1 spot, but Troy Martin Jr has closed the gap to just 14.

Colby Atherton would advance two spots to win the Feature in USRA B-Mods, after finishing third in the Heat race won by Ron Hough. Mike Duvall continues to lead the class in points.

The Vetbox Containers Factory Stock Class would provide Jim Kuehn his second win of the night, his first coming in the Heat race. These are Jim’s first wins of the season! Matt Bales would start second after a Heat 1 win. Chris Bales continues to hold the lead in points, but Matt Bales trails by 35.

Connar Brownlee continues his winning streak in the USRA Tuners Class by taking the #1 spot in both the Heat and Feature! The #41 car is a force this year and Connar continues to increase his points lead, now to 77. The Top Three in the Feature race were Connar, Braxton Brownlee and Cale Hancock.

Thank you to SNP Photography for the great pictures of tonight’s racing.

Congratulations to our winners tonight! Our next race is Friday July 19th, followed on July 26-27 for the World of Outlaws!
